" I know what I can do, so I always feel like I’m the best in the game- LeBron James- The king of Basketball"!

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was in the gallery at Crypto.com Arena. He stood up to basket the ball as LeBron James did this traditional “fade away jump” (clearing space in front of the defender and hitting the ball into the basket) from 14 feet away. The two hands of the legend joined the gallery bursting into applause. The commentator’s voice was not normal either, rather he shouted with emotion- LeBron James stood alone and he continued, NBA’s all-time scoring record now belongs to LeBron James/King James.

The Top Five Scorers in NBA history are;

Player           Points

  • LeBron James 38,390
  • Kareem Abdul-Jabbar 38,387
  • Karl Malone 36,928
  • Kobe Bryant 33,643
  • Michael Jordan 32,292

Even if the commentator didn’t say it, almost everyone knew what was going to happen. The legendary Kareem also knew the record he set 34 years ago was waiting to be missed. So, maybe the feat rushed to the gallery to applaud another feat, who was better than him. LeBron James was born in 1984, eight months after Kareem Abdul-Jabbar set the record for the most points in NBA history, playing for Milwaukee Bucks, and Los Angeles Lakers, 38,387 points! At that time no one thought that anyone could break the record of Kareem. But now that is not in the words, in the history.

LeBron James

LeBron was born to break Kareem’s record!

James was called the “Chosen One “while playing high school basketball. That is someone who has been sent to earth with a heavy responsibility on his shoulders. King James performed that duty on Tuesday night (2023). In a 133-130 loss against the Oklahoma City Thunder, he set the record for the most points in the history of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

LeBron entered this match with 38,352 points in his career. He needed 36 points to break Kareem’s record in the eyes of Pat Riley, and Julius Irving.  LeBron took himself to the top of the list of immortality with 38 points (38,390 Points). 10.9 seconds before the end of the match, he made a fadeaway jumper to throw the ball behind the opposing defender. His son Bronny James, a high school basketball player in the gallery, captured the moment on cell phone video and later showed it to his father. Seeing the video of that moment on his son’s phone, LeBron praised himself, Oh1 It was difficult, did you save it? Send me.

LeBron’s fans may passionately say that his jump before the basket may be small in length, and width, but there is no more significant jump in the history of basketball, maybe never! After scoring the first two points of his career on October 29, 2003, he has made a lot of baskets in these 20 years in signature shots such as “Skyhook “ or “Power dunk “. Apart from this, LeBron has many other talents, like Kareem, he is also a Los Angeles Lakers legend. Just think Kareem Abdul-Jabbar watched James grow up in front of his eyes, watched LeBron climb the Everest of his own record, so many days later when James used the technique to get rid of that defender against Oklahoma. Some even metaphorically called that defender Kareem. Can you think?  James has been fighting for the record with Kareem for so long. And finally released!

Now the question is, 38-year-old LeBron after his retirement can anyone build this record? It cannot be said exactly, but a metaphorical example can be given. At the bottom of the Pacific Ocean near the Hawaiian Islands is a mountain called Mauna Kea. The height from the bottom of the water is 10 thousand 200 meters. The height of Everest standing on the surface of the earth is 8 thousand 848 meters. If Kareem’s 38-year-old record is considered “Mount Everest “then when LeBron James retires, it will be “Mount Kea “ or something higher that will never be reached, let alone touched. Without looking! Even though he is a man of flesh and blood, since LeBron is the “Chosen One “the point’s record may be at an unearthly height.

Only two players have reached the 38,000-points milestone in NBA history. Perhaps everyone knows their names by now. It is difficult to say how long LeBron will play. To take care of his fitness, he spends more than one million dollars a year on chefs, trainers, and massage therapists. After James made this record, the question arose, Who is the best in the history of “Basketball”? Michael Jordan or LeBron James? Although the career resumes of the two are quite similar. Jordan has won the NBA titles 6 times, and LeBron has won four times, so far. Jordan has been the NBA’s Most Valuable Player five times, and James has won four times. Both have won gold medals at the Olympics twice. But LeBron is a man made of other metal. Consider yourself the best of all time right now. After setting the record, he said, personally, I am ready to challenge anyone in this game. I know what I can do, so I always feel like, I’m the best ever in this game (Basketball).

Still, LeBron has not said anything about when he will retire. But in an interview, he hinted, that I want to play the last year of my career with my child Bronny James. He also added, whenever Bronny is, I will be there too. Bronny, you must know the pressure of playing with LeBron James at home practice! People thought that he was not a man of flesh and blood, but a “Chosen One”, and that idea was made a reality by LeBron yesterday. The way he digs the opponent and brings points if you want, you can add the name “Bond to him” –the James Bond of Basketball!

Finally, it can be said that records are born to be broken, and Lebron James or King James once again proved it. However, if you liked this post, please share it on social media or comment below.
