Sri Lanka is the second team after India to have played in the Women's Asia Cup finals the second most times, five times in total. In addition to being runners-up for the fifth time, Sri Lanka has hosted the Women's Asia Cup tournament twice, in 2004, and 2008, including the inaugural Asia Cup tournament.
