What is the structure of the MLS league?
The MLS league consists of 29 teams divided into two divisions. 15 teams play in the Eastern Conference during the season, including 13 franchises from the eastern United States and two franchises from Canada. On the other hand, 14 teams play in the Western Conference.
MLS teams play a total of 34 matches with 17 home and 17 away matches. Eastern Conference teams play each other twice and one match each against six teams from other conferences.
